I took that citizen quiz thing that MSNBC has on their website, and I only scored 70%.  That doesn't particularly surprise me, I passed civic by the skin of my teeth in school, and I didn't pass economics the first go, and barely the second time.  So, anyway....I'm so freaking tired I can barely think straight.  We made $14,500 today, at last count, so there will be enough to pay everyone (yay!).

I fell down the stairs yesterday morning, bent my toes backwards and did a baseball-slide type move down the last five or so steps (My stairs are carpeted, so it was just a matter of time).  Now my side and my foot both hurt terribly, despite how much ibuprofen I take.  I foresee my bed in the near future.  Good night all and I hope you had a great Independence Day! (And for my friends on the other side of the pond, I hope you had a great day also!)

To tell everyone Happy Independence Day.  I escaped the crowd for a minute as soon as Michael got there to run to my parents' house to releive the pressure on my bladder.  Next year, I foresee renting a port-o-let.
We haven't had an official tally, but we're up to roughtly 5 grand so far (And no,

[info]luvscharlie, we havn't blown ourselves up yet.  That's later on tonight, I believe.)

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Independence Day before I run off to work.  I was so worn out when I came dragging in at 11 p.m. last night that I didn't even look at the computer, so I'll tell you now that we made almost $4,000.  Hopefully we'll make the other $15 grand today.

I'm hot.  I'm tired.  I'm sore, and my left foot and side are killing me from falling down the stairs this morning.  I came in for a few min to pee and cool off, so here I am, but I've gotta get back, because people have been pouring in steadily since 5:00.

Off I go again, back to work with me.
3rd-Jul-2008 10:12 am - I hate the smell of coffee.
hash_brownie
Which kind of bites, since Biff's coffee (it's a coffee grinding factory) is right across the street, and when the wind blows just right it inundates my office with the smell of fresh ground coffee beans.  I appreciate a good shot of caffiene (every morning, lol), but it's usually in the form of Mountain Dew.  When I tell people I don't like coffee or tea, they look at me as if I'd grown an extra head and reply (usually in a condescending tone) "Are you sure you're from the south?"  I'm sure.  I'm not sure what the givaway was, the alligators, mosquitoes, heat or cypress trees. Just a finicky eater, I don't like applie pie or hamburgers either.

Have you ever crushed on your closest friend?
Did you keep it secret, were there problems or did it blossom into something more?

I saw this, and just had to answer it.  The answer would obviously be yes.  I think everyone has, to be honest.  Initially, I tried to keep it secret, and it wasn't altogether hard because it wasn't all that "large" a crush at first, we were just good friends.  (My closest "best" friend is not my husband, although I consider him one of my best friends, if that makes sense.  My best friend I've known and been close to for almost fifteen years.  I've only known my husband for about five.  No comparison, really).  And to be honest, it wasn't hard to keep it secret, because like every other teenage boy on the planet, he was clueless.

He eventually found out, we tried to be friends with benefits, although moving across states put a chink in that, and we're still good friends to this day.  We're both in serious relationships with someone we care deeply for, and our significant others even get along *grin*.  So, I suppose, if it blossomed into "anything more" it would be a deeper friendship.

But I'm not in the least little way tired.  And I itch.  There is officially a nest of mosquitoes in my car now, because some dumbass (read:  me)  left the windows cracked all evening so the interior wouldn't get hot.  So now I have little flying stinging bastards coming out of the air conditioner now.  Yay for me.
At least I have a three day weekend to look forward to.

Thought I would share since I'm playing around you Youtube anyway.   If you're a Harry Potter fan definitely watch the last one, it's really cute and creative.  I giggled quite a bit, even though the song isn't that funny.

My favorite song. It always makes me cry, especiallly when it's accompanied by hurricane pictures.
